BEE-SAFE DRIVING SCHOOL HISTORY

The Bee-Safe Driving School has been providing driver education classes to students in Franklin, Union, and Fayette counties since it opened its doors in August 2005 in Brookville, Indiana. We strive to provide the best quality service for area students and parents. We want to have the finest driver's education program in the area, so your child receives nothing but the best when it comes to instruction.

Steve Wewe opened Bee Safe Driving School in 2005 and in June 2022, the school was purchased by Assistant Chief of Police Mike Strait and Sergeant Samuel Williams with the Brookville Police Department. Steve will stay on as an instructor at the school in addition to Mike and Sam joining the instructor team.

We expanded to Liberty, Indiana in 2015 to provide a classroom location to better serve the students in the Union County School District. This location has been growing from day one. Each year our numbers increase due to the quality of instruction we provide for the students.

The Connersville, Indiana open in August 2019 and is located in the new fitness center (BAM) on 832 North Eastern Avenue in Connersville. We are excited to help better serve the students in the Fayette County School District.

We pride ourselves on our flexibility with all our students' needs by scheduling driving times around the student's busy schedules. Classes at our physical locations are held on weekends during the school year. If a student is absent from a class, they can make it up in the next classroom session. There is never a penalty for being absent. We also offer our classroom portion of the program online to accommodate students' busy schedules. Whatever is needed, we are here to help our students become safe and highly skilled drivers.

All of our instructors are employed or retired teachers in the local school districts or police officers. They are fully insured and licensed by the Indiana BMV. We currently have 5 licensed instructors and 4 vehicles to provide instruction in the classroom and behind the wheel. This will allow us to efficiently schedule and complete each student's driving hours quickly.
